Here is a recipe for faux cappuccino. If you're wondering what is meant by "faux" I mean it looks like cappuccino but it really isn't one. This look alike capp is actually made with walnuts and tofu! This is a recipe by California Walnuts. I would suggest if you're planning to make this, use good quality walnuts. Since it is a predominate flavour for this recipe you don't want to use poor quality walnuts. Poor quality ingredients usually create a poor quality dish. Serves 6
Ingredients:
- 1 cup California walnut pieces
- 10 oz. soft or silken tofu
- 3 tbsp honey
- 2 oz. milk chocolate, melted
- 2 oz. dark chocolate, melted
- 1/4 cup whipped cream
- cinnamon
With a hand blender or food processor, puree walnuts, tofu, honey and chocolate until smooth. Divide among 6 cappuccino cups and refrigerate to set. Top with whipped cream and sprinkle with cinnamon.
