Makes 5-1/2 dozen

Preheat the oven to 400 Degrees F.

Baking time: 12-15 minutes

  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 cup dry breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp fresh oregano, chopped
  • 2 lbs lean ground beef
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 3/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce

1. Preheat the oven to 400 F and line two large baking pans with parchment paper. In a large bowl, combine eggs, milk, breadcrumbs, onion, salt, fresh oregano and the ground beef. Make sure not to over mix this. Shape the beef mixture into 1" meatballs and place them onto the baking pans. Bake it for 12-15 minutes or until the meat has cooked through.

2. Meanwhile, in a large saucepan, saute the garlic in the olive oil for 2 minutes. Stir in the ketchup, honey and soy sauce. Simmer for 5 minutes. Drain the meatballs, and add it into the sauce and gently stir to combine. Cook for another 2-5 minutes, then serve immediately.
